The idea
How Nexy works
Most plans between people do not collapse because somebody forgot. They collapse because nobody was ever asked, out loud, at a moment they could still do something about it.
Nexy takes one thing two or more people agreed on and carries it to done. It asks the question, reminds whoever still has to act, keeps an unclaimed task visible to everybody instead of assigning it, and tells the group when it is finished — in the chat they already use, with nothing to install on the other side.
Four things you set, in plain words
Where it stops
The limits are the product, not a roadmap gap. These are on purpose.
Questions people ask
What is Nexy, in one sentence?
Nexy is an assistant that works between people: you tell it what the two of you agreed on, and it asks, reminds, and confirms until it is done.
Does the other person have to install an app to use Nexy with me?
No. They get one message in the chat they already use, with a single tap under it if they also want the reminder personally. No account, no download, no login. If they later want notifications of their own they can add them, but nothing is held back until they do.
How is this different from a shared to-do list or a shared calendar?
A shared list waits to be looked at and a shared calendar has to be accepted. Nexy does the asking. It puts the thing in front of the right person at the moment they can still act on it, keeps an unclaimed task visible to everyone, and closes the thread itself when somebody says it is done.
How does Nexy know when to remind someone?
Every thread carries its own clock. For something with a date, the reminder lands at the moment you could still do something about it, which is usually the evening before rather than the morning of. For something open-ended, it nudges on the rhythm the thread has been moving at, and it stops the moment the thing is done.
Does Nexy keep reminding me about something I have already done?
No, and this is not a setting you can get wrong. The rule underneath every shared reminder is that it never asks for something that has already happened. Someone marks it done and that person is left alone, even while the thread continues for the others.
Can Nexy do things for a group rather than just two people?
Yes. A thread can hold a family, a team, a club or a street. An unclaimed task is announced to everybody rather than assigned by Nexy, so nobody is volunteered, and claiming it is public so nobody silently assumes somebody else has it.
What does Nexy cost?
Being reachable is free. Being found, the part where strangers can reach you and work can come to you, is the paid side. The use cases on this site are things you can do without paying anything.
Is Nexy a chatbot?
It behaves less like a chatbot and more like somebody who holds the thread. It writes short messages to real people, and it never pretends to be a person: if it answers your phone or relays a question, it says plainly what it is and what it cannot do.
Start with one of these
- A chat for an event that disappears afterwards
Everyone at the same place can talk for as long as the thing lasts, and then it is gone. No group to leave afterwards, no notifications next month, and nothing anybody has to clean up.
- Sell access to a course in a chat
Put a price on the door of a chat. People pay once, the material arrives on the rhythm you set, and there is no platform to build, no login to remember and no course site to maintain.
- Call in to hear what is waiting for you
For the person in the family who will never install anything. They ring a number, hear what has been asked of them in ordinary speech, say yes or no out loud, and everyone else sees the answer in the chat.
- An assistant for a team that remembers everything
Not a wiki that nobody updates. What was decided, what was promised and what the number was stays answerable in plain words months later — and the answer always says who said it and when.
- Collect feedback on a document from several people
Send it to five people and get one list back. Each is asked separately, nobody is chased twice, and where they disagree you are told so — instead of five sets of comments you have to reconcile yourself.
- Find new customers without cold calling
Someone two streets away asked in their own group, in their own words, because they needed it now. You were asked whether you wanted the work, and they were asked whether they wanted the introduction. Nobody was cold called and nobody takes a cut of the job.
Every use case is listed on the index.
